I was a keynote speaker at the Friends of Fearless Conference in January of 2023, discussing the first year of JWST and why we take photographs.
In February of 2022, I traveled to Cancun, Mexico to speak with employees of Duolingo at their annual retreat.
I spoke for four years at The Unique CAMP in Los Angeles, most recently in early 2017. I lead night sky tours and have spoken about inspiration, creativity, and why the universe makes us special.
The Innovation Partnership Program, an organization jointly founded by the XPRIZE Foundation and Singularity University, has brought me out to speak on two occasions. Here, I discussed the Big Bang and JWST with Fortune 500 executives.
I was a speaker at Summit Tulum in spring of 2018, talking to creative entrepreneurs about their place in the history of the universe, and then at the Summit Moutain Series in Eden, Utah during the summer of 2018.
I have worked with XANADU on their Catalina Island retreats, most recently speaking to families about astronomy and living our best lives.
I was the keynote speaker at Photo Field Trip in 2016.
I was the keynote speaker for The Collective Europe, a tech-free retreat in Barcelona, Spain, in the fall of 2017.
I have spoken multiple times at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum during their summer Cool Summer Nights program. You can watch an interview with me here!
I have also given large public lectures at Karchner Caverns in southern Arizona, as well as at Steward Observatory, a public talk on my research hunting for black holes that you can watch here.
I've appeared on multiple podcasts, including the Talk Nerdy Podcast with Cara Santa Maria, the Curious Humans Podcast with Jonny Miller, and the Conference Call Podcast with Michael Antonia.
One of my science workshops for kids was included as the first chapter of STEM to Story, a book of engaging lesson plans put out through 826 National and Wiley.
